What statement are they trying to make? Is the black saying I am trying to be a tad more formal than another color yet I still want to appear ';cool'; and approachable by wearing jeans? Do you think certain personality types like this fashion statement ... alpha males? conformists?Why are jeans with black turtlenecks so popular with alpha males like Steve Jobs? especially on casual Friday?
I think the big thing is functionality. Toss on a jacket and it is semi-formal for meetings, etc., it coordinates easily with many things, and still manages to look like 'one of the guys' without being the overdone polo and khakis.Why are jeans with black turtlenecks so popular with alpha males like Steve Jobs? especially on casual Friday?
Black dresses up an outfit. Some guys just don't like turtle necks, but those that do like them, look really nice in the outfit. That's all.
This outfit is classic, especially when worn with a pair of nice black leather shoes. It is worn by ';alpha males'; because it is so classy and easy to pull off. You don't have to look a certain way to pull it off. I would highly recommend that every guy has this outfit on hand for any and all occasions.
It's a professional look that makes a statement.
Ya know, like ';I'm more professional than you...naner naner naner...';
It could be the 'einstein' trick. Just have multiple versions of the same outfit in your closet- and that way you don't need to waste any time thinking about what to wear.
